Network Mac to Windows

I have a Mac connected to www, I need to tranfer/burn some * gb File to my winxp computer though firewire, I'm noy sure how to go about setting up a mac network?

I'm guessing that JRock's link is probably accurate for OS X.

For OS 9, if you're still using that crap, you'll need a third party software package like Dave or Appletalk support on the Windows side.

Thank you I will try that in the morning. Got suse 9.3 and osx 10.4 to burn

You shouldn't have to burn 10.4, it comes on a handy dandy disc already! 😀
