Network keeps kicking out

I've got a Dlink 704 plugged into my modem (broadband) and a Netgear 24 port switch plugged into that. Cat cables run through the walls to wall plates. Everything works, but I'm constantly getting network cable is unplugged and a hesitation that comes with it. Why does it keep kicking out? Happens like every 10 seconds.
 
i think i was having the same problem with my network a while back and had to go into the setting and change the media type, just try the different media types until one works. hope that helps
 
Now I've lost my network completely. If I disconnect from the router, I can access the internet, but not through the router.
