Network issue.

I have a network that I assign IP's to all PC's. There are numerous computers in the network but I mainly use three of them. On the main machine I can access my laptop. On my laptop I can access the main Pc. The problem is my spare pc. i cannot access the spare pc from the main or the laptop.
I am trying to be able to view the drives and copy files, etc.

I can, however, access the internet from the spare as well as ping the main and laptop. Also the main and laptop can ping the spare.
All are on the same Workgroup name.

ANy ideas what I am doing wrong?
All pc's running XP. All have windows firewalls off.

Wrong workgroup or domain set on the spare..

Not a network issue - a Windows issue..

I realize it's a windows issue. I guess I should have titled it windows netowrk issue.

And I edited my post. Meant to say they all have same Workgroup name.

Now, can anyone tell me what exactly to check?

Sounds like port 135 isn't making it across somewhere.. Try to telnet from one pc to the spare on port 135, and then the other way around.. Should work both ways.

If it doesn't work one way or the other, there's some kind of firewall/security issue..

If it DOES work check this:

You do have "file/print sharing" service installed on the spare right?

Try to disable all shared folders and enable again

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
