Network Issue Asus & Fios

Got an orbi for Christmas as set it up 2 weeks ago. Turned odd the wireless on the 68U and everything worked great for a week. Then my tablet started getting finicky about keeping connection to one of the satellites, so while troubleshooting, I also updated the 68u to the latest firmware.

Since then I've had significant WAN connection problems. It occurs from whichever device I try to use and even when directly connected to the router.

I've read that asus recommends doing a router reset after the upgrade, but before I do to save some time in putting all the static device and port forwards back in, I was going to test via my fios router. Only issue I have is I'm not sure how to release the dhcp on the 68u and until that is done the fios router won't connect to their network. Yes I could call into fios tech support for that, but as I've got networked tv tuners, don't really have that much of a time window until the weekend.

Just did an 80gb transfer from pc to NAS, and the speed numbers where well less than half what I'm used to. Looks like something is going on with the router.

I've happily built many, many systems over the years based around ASUS motherboards but I have no love for their routers. I have two sitting in a closet which is something they are suited very well for.

Connect your PC & NAS directly using ethernet cable and do the transfer again and then compare the speed.

Router's switch part shouldn't affect the speed that much.

Asus routers have been rock solid for me...then again, I am using 3rd party firmware, and not Asus's version.
