Ok, I have a pre-existing network and they are currently using an Access Database to track all of the hardware assets here. Needless to say, it isnt working out very well.

Well, I prefer to have a bit more information. Things like Processor speed/ram installed/HD space/Software and anything else I can get.

We asset tag everything, so I need to be able to enter things like monitors and whatnot manually.

Would be nice for it to export to a flat file or something I could eventually import into a MySQL database.

We have an AD setup so it would be kinda nice to not have to install something on EVERY SINGLE pc (all 2000+ of them).

Anyone have any suggestions for me? I would prefer to stay with a vendor that has been in business for a while and has good support in case something goes wrong.

Yes, I did a search, and yes I came up with about 250 products that fit somewhat my description. Just looking for some advice on what might be a good (and cheap!) solution! :D

Thank you in advance!

Ok still looking for answers. Tried the one listed above, but it wants me to set up a database before I can view anything :(

You may want to look at Track It. We used to use this for asset management before we went with SMS. I believe there is a client that you can install on each machine to keep the database up to date. YOu should be able to package this and send it out via AD easily.
