I'm running the Linksys wrt54g wireless router on my cable modem. I've set it to 128 bit WEP encryption, disabled the broadcast radio, and enabled MAC filtering to only permit certain MAC addresses access on my router.
When I check the status of the router the other day I noticed that there is a MAC address that is accessing my network that is not on my allowed list. How is this possible?
Since then I've changed the SSID name on the wireless network and also generated a new WEP encryption key. Is there anything else I can do to make my network more secure at home and prevent further intrusion?
