Heehee, i am a junior member too; so if i make mistake, please correct me immediately.

Since i have just setup the same network using the same router, I can tell you what i have done. However, all my computers are win98se, so i don't know how the win2k works. Hopefully they are not too much different.

First, you can go to "Control Panel" -> "Network".
Install "File and printer for Microsoft Networks"** if you don't have. You can add it by pressing "add" -> "service" -> "FIle and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks".
**(you may need to install "client for microsoft network" and/or "Microsoft Family Logon" before you can install "file and printer for mircosoft networks") (to install "add" -> "client" -> "microsoft" -> you will see it)
(i think it will restart, but not very sure.)

Second, in the same "control panel" -> "Network"
2a.) In the Configuration tab, you can see a button "File and Print sharing.."
Press it and check the options that you want. (i didn't check print sharing as i don't need, and i haven't tried that either.)

2b.) In the identification tab, name your "computer name" (each computer should have a unique name), name your "workgroup" (i will suggest you use the same workgroup name for all computers), and give "comment" (optional).
Press ok and restart your computer.

Third, open Explorer. Point the mouse to one of your harddisk/folder/printer, right click, you should be able to select "sharing" tab (otherwise, the setup has some problem. make sure you have check the file/printer sharing). Then check the "Shared As" and check the options. you will know it when you open it.
click ok. (you will see a hand on that harddisk/folder. That means that harddisk/folder is shared in the network.)

Do the same thing on each computer. After you have done it, in explorer, in the folder/tree window, click the "Network Neighborhood" (usually at the bottom of the tree), you should see your workgroup, and hopefully other computers' name. You should be able to see the shared folder/harddisk when you click the computer name.

So the network is now successfully setup.

Good Luck.

All puters have to be in the same Workgroup/Domain.

You could just add NetBeui. Or, if you only want to have TCP/IP protocol then each puters have to have a unique IP address and in the same Subnet Mask.

And, then enable Printer & File Sharing to share all resoures between Win98 puters and Win2000.
