Network drives disconnect on restart

Okay, so I have set up a small home network, all of my computers are using Windows XP Professional and they are all have the same workgroup name. I put a lot of hard drives in one computer and I am using it basically as a server.

On my laptop I have mapped the 2 hard drives and a dump folder on the main drive, and I leave the 'server' computer on all day. But when I restart my laptop none of these mapped drives reconnect and they are all listed as 'disconnected.' Has anyone encountered this problem, or have a solution for it? I'm going nuts here.

Thanks.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Yes, I did make sure that I checked 'reconnect at login.' Every time I try to reconnect by double-clicking though I get an error message saying: 'An error occurred while reconnecting to _____.'

Ernie, I am mapping by computer name. When I try to browse the computers on the network in 'My Network Places' I get another error message that says: 'Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to access this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.'

This particular computer is on the DMZ, does this matter?
