Network documentation suggestions?

It's been a while since I've needed to work with any detailed network documentation, and now I basically have to create some from scratch as what we have here is a useless.

Any recommendations for getting this into a single document or application? I was thinking I'd go with Visio, but I'm not sure if there is something out there that is better for pure network documentation that I could possibly just add or attach some Visio diagrams to instead of actually storing all of the details in Visio itself.

The network consists of ~70 edge devices (firewalls and routers), ~25 manageable switches, and ~30 WAP's.

Documentation would need to cover as much as possible about the network

Networks
Device IP's
Zones
Routes
Firewall policies
VPN Tunnels
etc.

We use Visio with great success. With something that large you may want to make separate diagrams based on service types....

One documenting wireless, one for the firewall layout etc etc. Of course you can do it all on one as well theres really no right way.
