Network Discovery in Win 7 won't stay on

I can't seen anything on my network from my laptop. I have tried LAN and WiFi and it won't stay on. I change it to enable and hit save and it changes back to off.

I don't know if this is a network bug or what. I am using a work network and am changing the settings in advanced sharing settings.

I think that this is controlled by a Windows service. I would check its status, and check your EventLog.

(Possibly the service is failing to enable?)

Did you configure The File and Folder Sharing and assigned users with Permission and security?

All LAN users have full access to the network. I use to be able to see the network now I can't. Something has changed in the last few months. This is the only computer on the network that I have problems with.
