network design grapher or network mapping program ?

anyone familiar with a tool that can let you map out clearly and accuratly a network segment or entire segments?

Basically what I want is a program that can show me all computers connected, hubs, routers, switches, where firewalls and access points are graphically. If this can be printed out on a plotter on large scale poster sized paper that'd be even more ideal.

I face the problem of when i ask sys admins or managers, whats your network layout like? they have no clue, and I have to do it myself.

Thanks

Are you talking about something liek visio that you can draw it yourself with? If there is a program out there, it might show hwo everything is connected, but it won't be able to tell you where they are. You'll still have to go out and find them.

visio and openview are really good at discovering networks. You still have to draw things by hand though...that's why they call it design.

Also, IPswitchs what's up gold and another product by castlerock work well.
