I'm looking for a tool that can tell me if a user's network between a client and server is optimally setting for data transfer.
I have customers that don't configure their network correctly (either bad drivers, incorrectly matched NIC and port settings, etc.). What I find is that the network connectivity is there but when it start loading up such as when you start running app that does large data transfer, then the misconfiguration start breaking down. Is there a tool to check and basically does a load test on the network connection between the two computer and can tell me I have a good solid network connection or not? (without me having to resort to verifying hardware network configuration or packet analyzer).
