I have three computers setup that they could share files on their hard drives. I have been doing this since XP. I am running windows 10 and I have not had trouble sharing files until the latest update. Now I am being asked for "Network Credentials" to share files between computers.

I can not find "Network Credentials" anywhere. I did not setup any credentials.

Does anyone know where I can find and how to change them?

Thanks in advance.

See if there are more updates available. I could not see my Synology through the same method I had been using after an update and within days another update came in and the problem was fixed. The problem was only on the computers running 10 Home. The 10 Pro computer was not affected.

I was not having the same problem as you but this is what I would do first. Do a manual check for updates.

I had a similar problem recently with the last major update in Windows 10, but it was homegroup related.

If you use this method to share files, the way to fix it was: delete the homegroup (make sure only 1 computer is on, empty homegroups are deleted), make a new homegroup, have the other computers join that new one, then restart the computer where you created the homegroup.

This worked for me:
1. Control Panel
2. Network and Sharing
3. Change Advanced Sharing Settings
4. All Networks
5. Turn off password protected sharing.
