Network Connections Page Blank

I'm using Windows XP Professional. I've had no problems with my internet, and it still works, but my network connections page is empty. It shows absolutely nothing on it. When I go to hardware manager it shows all my network adapters there and working properly. Can anyone recommend something to do? I've tried a few windows KB articles about this but none of them worked.
