Hi all,
I have a number of computers conected in a workgroup setup - Win 2k and a single Win XP machine.
I connect from the XP box to the 2k boxes. I give the password and stuff and then map the drive. Each 2k box has a large single shared folder on it.
I go ahead and copy stuff from the XP box to the 2k boxes. After a while, I get a message say that the folder is too deep - ie, lost connection. Sometimes I have to reboot the XP box, otherwise I just double click on the mapped drive and the connection is there again and I continue copying.
I have not set up users on the 2k boxes. Don't know if this could be the problem.
This dropping of connection makes times backups etc almost impossible to do reliably.
Any comments please.
