Network change

Hi,

I am currently looking for a replacement for our old router ( cheap home cisco ). We are using this router in a bar/pub.

We have about 6-7 wired pc for us ( lan ) and many wireless customers ( I'm sure over 30 when it's crowded ) on the guest wifi ( laptop , cellphone ).

I want also to be able to limit the bandwidth of all device on the guest wifi at the same time. This way , it's impossible for 1 customer user to take all our bandwidth ...

Adding a access point will be mandatory if i'm not mistaking in order to keep all those customers connected at the same time on the guest wifi for smooth operation ?

What are my best choice ? Thanks :colbert:

Keep your router or get a decent upgrade for your own LAN. Try looking at Open Mesh for your customers, its great for small businesses. Its cloud managed so its easy to limit per user and overall bandwidth wise. Add as many nodes you need, even outdoors (smokers).

Just a suggestion, Hope this helps.
