Im thinking about buying a network card soon because ive been having problem with my current onboard 3com chip with p2p stuff. Any torrent is extremely slow, and with downloaders that use p2p (such as World of warcraft downloader) wont work.

I was curious what is a good network card. Also how easy are they to install? Are there drivers and would it be necessary to disable the onboard 3com chip and everything from BIOS?

If you're going to give me a link to a good one try to get it off bestbuy or circuit city because my semester just ended and I kinda need it now because im bored out of my skull and dont want to wait for shipping :)

*edit* Also I dont want to spend too much money, so is there anything good under like $30?

Well, for example with the WoW downloader it says that my 3com gigabit lom driver is outdated and it turns p2p off, disabling the patch from being downloaded. Ive made a post in the past about this and someone recommended a new NIC card.

*edit* http://img326.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1cw6.jpg theres a pic of device manager for the 3com. The driver date is kind of pathetic but ive tried to update it awhile ago and I recall having trouble finding the right driver because my mobo is rather old-ish. Maybe this is whats causing my p2p problem?

Oh yeah, the post I had awhile ago a guy gave me a link to all the drivers and the current version is that same one I have now, so he suggested a new NIC.
