Hi all... ok I just got a new computer and i am trying to hook it up to the hub to work online but it doesnt! it works but it doesnt work, Right now in the computer is a 3com 3C900B-TPO and it doesnt seem to get online.. but it does find the other 2 computers that are on the same network...so i thought that i was that RR only allows me to hook up 2 computers but from what i remember it is 3 so then i tried to connect from the RR box to the computer directly instead of to the hub and it still doesnt work... I have the same card 3com 3c900B-TPO in my other comp and it works... so i took that card out and put it in my new comp and it does work... so i went and got 2 other network cards from my friend and now i have 3 network cards that dont work... anyone know why? they do work within the network lan and can see other 2 computers.... thanks all

Is it a hub you are plugging it into or a hub/router?

I use RR also and whenever I plug a different computer into my cable modem I have to reset the modem. Unplug the cable modem from the power and then plug it back in. Then turn on your PC and it should work fine with the cable modem because DHCP will issue the PC a new IP.

As far as your initial situation of 2 working and one that didn't, maybe you had the settings wrong for your network card.

NP PHiuR. :) I just told you what the RR techs told me to do. LOL! That is what their answer was to everything so I quit calling them and just reset it myself every time.

Later bro.
