Hello,
I recently moved and had to install a wireless network card in my desktop - no biggy, it works really well.
However, I've noticed that the WiFi connection on my 2016 MBP is often slow and sluggish, even dropping the connection entirely, when sitting at my desk, with my desktop on the floor right next to me.
The connection on my desktop is always stable (if I run speedtest on desktop while laptop is hanging it reports the correct bandwidth, 50/30).
The connection is more stable if I'm lying in bed with my MBP (even though it's further from the router), and I've also noticed that if I get stuck loading a webpage, carrying my laptop away from my desktop will make it load the page as normal.
Thus, I'm theorizing that the wireless network card is somehow 'hogging' the bandwidth, which is really annoying. Is there anything I can do about this? The network card is a TP-Link TL-WDN4800, in case that's relevant.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
