Network card holding me back?

Anyone ever use a realtek rtl8029 ethernet card? I thought my ram was holding back my overclock so i got some really nice corsair xms and i can only get it up to 142 fsb stable. Now thats not too good. So i upgraded my asus a7a266 board to a soltek SL-75DRV4, who tom's hardware said was good at overclocking, and still the fsb remains the same. I have a geforce 2 mx400 (not great i know) in there and my ethernet card. You guys think if i go out and get a better card (i.e. a linksys or dlink) i would be able to get a better overclock. I'm gonna rip out the card in a few mins and see what i can get, but was curious if you guys had any experience with this.
