network card drivers

i am seeking the drivers for the network card that is factory installed in the emachines eone 433. I formatted, don't have any factory disks, and all i know is that the card was using IBM drivers before i formatted. I was not smart enough to check what hardware was installed before i wiped it clean. i would be grateful to anyone who may be of any help.

thanks

rick

sounds like the best thing to do is to scour the net. look on the card for a manufacturer and serial number and get the model number of the machine. if you have no luck at the manufacterer's sites, then look for sites that carry just drivers.

also check the chipset numbers and the FCC ID.

This from emachine site: 10BaseT Lan with Home PNA
I also read elsewhere that the NIC is Intel based.
More research points to😀rivers initially identified it as a tulip card: specifically an Intel 21145 chip (from an MIT site)
but it is a crippled version of the chipset which does not support 100 Mb rate.
