This question is for more out of curiosity.
What is the difference between a Dlink DFE-530TX and a Dlinl DFE-538TX. I have both types of cards and was just wondering what this difference is because the 538tx is like $10 less than teh 530tx we have at the store i work at. Havent been able to really find anything on dlinks site

Based on this find, I think the difference between the 2 is the chipset or the way they show up in your Control Panel. The DFE-538TX will show up as Realtek RTL8139 (A) Fast Ethernet adapter in your device manager. Looking at the details of the DFE-538TX and the DFE-530TX, it looks like the 538 supports Wake On LAN, while the 530 doesn't. That might be the reason for the difference in price...Hope this helps.
