Hi, I have 6 network cameras that can be accesses using their IP addresses connected to my computer. The initial setup was based on the computer having automatically assigned IP and the 6 cameras connected to the computer were successfully talking back and forth with the computer. However, In order to setup a simple server on this computer, I assigned a static IP to it and now, the cameras no longer talk to the computer. Is there a way to fix this by changing the IP settings on the camera so that they can connect to the computer? Or any other leads would be greatly helpful. Thanks!

First suggestion would be to make sure they're on the same 192.168.x subnet.

hmm.. I see.. my cameras IP is in 169.xx whereas the staic IP is on 129.161 and so on. You think that is what might have caused the problem?

Yeah, change either the cameras' IPs or your server's IP.
