Network Bridge

Just wondering how a network bridge works. For example, here on campus I've got a wired connection giving me downloads of 3MB/sec...yes, you read that right. And a wireless connection that throws out about 1MB/sec. Is it possible to bridge them together to get 4MB/sec?

What are other uses for a network bridge?

I'm running Windows XP Pro.

Nope, it does not work as you think

at least not the Software Network Bridge available in WinXP and Vista

The network Bridge in software, works more like a fail over backup, or overload fail over.
