Hello there,
Not quite the way I like to intoduce myself to a new forum, but I really need help on this and my normal forum is closed for maintenance... for a week now. Anyway.
I have been asked by my employer to make a back up server on our network.
My plan involves 2 removable USB drives that will house the network back ups and 1 can be removed at night and taken home.
There are 7 PCs on this network and each has about.. 10-15 gigs of info to backup. So the software should be able to check the changed files each time and only change the ones that have been altered.
Ideally it should also sort out each backed up computer into it's own folder on the removable drive.
So the "plan" is, The backups take place at about 10pm, saving to one of the removable drives. Then the next day it runs again at about 10 am and the drive that gets removed, backs up the 1st removable drive. If that makes sense..
I'm open for opinions and help on this as the software I've tried didn't fill my needs. I think this post probly coulda been placed somewhere else, if that's the case I will repost it.
Thanks,
-Deez-
