Something other than Ethereal.

Any suggestions? Looking for something that could give an easy (graphical) view of how much traffic a particular port/IP was transmittng.
 
Remember that in a modern switched network you won't see most traffic. Doesn't do much good to sniff the wire if all the traffic is bypassing your switch port. The best way to do it is via an intelligent managed switch or some more smarts in the router.

That new dell is not bad at it🙂
I'd think the most cost effective is to set up a unix gateway and sniff it all, but definitely the most labor intensive to set up.
