Heya,

I have just started a new job as a network admin and was after some advice.
Its a 2000 Server/NT Client based network and I was wondering if there were any tools (software) that would come in handy for day to day use in my job. I am not trying to do any specific task, I was just looking around for some software that may come in handy for my day to day tasks. So far I have found Remote Shutdown, Observer and VNC to be quite good.

Thanks in advance.

There is a version of nmap for NT (called nmapNT and comes with a libpcap-based packet filter you need to install first).

Find out what you do repetitively and script it, perl kicks ass even on NT.
