NetWare Volume help

Ok, I screwed up and did a NetWare 5.0 to 6.0 and figured a 2 day old backup was good enough. Well, one of my volumes didn't migrate and now that 2 day old backup isn't good enough. I need to get the data off the old server (I don't care about trustees) but now the server is removed from the tree and the migration process also closed the server?s DS database. I can browse the files with edit, but can't authenticate to the server. Is there an ftp client for NetWare 5 or some other way to get these files off the server?

Thanks.

doubtfull, NetWare has very little software on the server itself.

Would it be possible to create a new tree with just that server in it?

Wow, Nemo look like the ticket. My problem is that I need these files by 6:00am EST and it looks like sales is closed. Would you be willing to E-mail me the program with my word that I'll purchase it?

I can't figure out how to create a new tree. The DS on the server is closed and it won't allow my to do anything with it.

I had a netware box with 2 hd on it...first hd for the OS...second with volumes for my data. The first HD took a dump so I just installed the second HD in another netware box and everything was ok. I created an NDS volume object pointing to the new volume with admin as owner. Doing this will wipe out all the trustee rights and replace them with admin.

I don't mind going out of my way to help a fellow propeller head in dire need, but the software is at the office. Unfortunately, the only way I'm driving to downtown at this hour is with armed escort.

What NetWareHead suggested will work if the volume doesn't span multiple drives.

I finally was able to get DS off the server and created a new tree. Copied the files and it appears I may still have a job. Thanks for the suggestinos guys. I'm gonna get a copy of that captain nemo just in case...
