net send username this is the message

or

net send computername this is the message

no comma or whatever requires
 
Just make sure you type in the coimputer name correctly, one of my friends in high school wrote a couple of netsend messages to another student, they were going back and forth, just joking around, it started about each other mom's, and ended up about each others mom's and chicken suits, on his last message, he misspelled his targets username, which means it gets sent to every computer on the network. The principal was not a happy man.
