Ok, first they force you to register just to use their POS browser. Thats fine I think, I'll just fill in garbage. However, your e-mail adress must be unique, and never before submitted. These are ones I've tried and have already been taken

a@a.com
a@aa.com
aa@aa.com
netscape@sucks.com
netscape@blows.com

I finally went with netscape@blowschunks.com. However, my username of aaa wasnt avalible, so I tried the username "netscapesucks". Not avalible. Some other ones that arent avalible:

netscapeblows
netscapeiscrap
netscapeisass
netscapeisgay
IERULES
netscapeisaPOS
netscapelikesmen
netscapelovesmen
blowmenetscape
usernamessuck

Finally I just mashed the keyboard and came up with "klsjrhgjksng
".

Pretty lame, huh?

Yo' momma.

I just felt like saying that, I don't know why. Hehe, that's funny:). Is there a software giant out there anywhere that anybody likes??:) IE is always going to be better on a Windows machine though, it's just integrated so well.

I usually use an email like "____@xxx.edu". I really like the ring of that one.

Yeah Netscape blows, the only time I use it is when I'm downloading multiple items from the web. And NO, I won't tell you what I'm d/l. ;)

Actually while trying to register at the end it complained that my e-mail was bad, so gave me a prompt to go back. However, when I did it would not take me back far enough to change my e-mail address, therefore I was stuck. Stupid f_cking Netscape...

So I just hit a bunch of X's and it worked without me registering.

Ifs off my hard drive now.

ROFL, do you not see something wrong with having a "commercial" site that comes up blank to the other major web browser Paulson?

There are a lot of web sites I can't get anymore, it seems, with Netscape. IE gets them everytime! I used to exclusively use Netscape because it wasn't Micro$oft. Not anymore. Hell, both browsers are free, so I might as well go with the one that works. IE is a little slower, but it doesn't freakin' crash on every three sites!

I've used Netscape back in the early days of the net as we know it now (not BBS's, but I used those too), and I continued to use it up until this spring, when, with one of their updates, there was a bug that would cause it to crash, and then leave the crash dialog box up on my screen, no matter how many times I'd click "OK" I couldn't use Ctrl+Alt+Delete, so I finally gave up, and switched to IE. The Anandforums were a big part in the switch anyway, because for some reason, in Netscape, they'd display as a completly white page for 2-5 seconds, and then pop up. I really like IE, although I do miss netscape sometimes, because of the speed. I'm staying with IE now, especially after the horrid intergration with AOL. I still use Netscape for most of my email, I love the fact that most virus authors don't code for Netscape, so the self spreading ones I'm pretty much immune to. ::knocks on wood::

I'm really not surprised that netscape is pushing user registration. When you're browser department is losing money, you've got to sell your user's names to advertisers. Wait, no, thats just AOL's practice anyway

I use to use netscape 3.3 back in the days. I use to sell it to people for 40 dollars at EB. I wanted to tell em you can just download this off the net for free. Hehehe I would have loved to see the expression on their face when they eventually found out..

I HATE IE!!!!:|

It wipes out your whole system when it crashes forcing a reboot, it opens every virus-laden piece of spam that wanders within a mile of it, it's History list is a joke (I don't want my sites gathered together!), Favorites is a joke, the way it waits for every stinking banner ad to downlaod before showing you the page. ARGH! Pure crap!!!

OTOH, the new Netscape 6 eats it huge. Nice job AOL! Almost three years and this is what you dump on us. A stupid, bloated, slow-loading POS that is an ergonomic disaster.:|:|:|

<sigh>

I guess it's gonna be NS 4.76 forever...:(
