Netscape 8.0 Final

It's pretty cool that you can switch between rendering engines with a simple Ctrl+Shift+E but when monitoring the browser in task manager, I noticed it's a HUGE memory hog. Plus there are only 2 themes out and no extensions. Seems pretty cool, but I think I'll stick to my firefox for now. I wanted to see what other people thought of it though.

I'm using Mozilla 1.7.2

Downloading it onto my test box right now. Its made by AOL so I am not holding my breath, but my job requires I know these things.

Yeah, I was wary, but the only bit of AOL I saw on there was the AIM sidebar thing, but in no way was it pushing the use of AIM, it was just a functional browser. No AIM icons installed or anything, seems pretty clean.

afaik netscape was using the mozilla engine, but I'm sure it has a bunch of bundled crap since it's from AOL.

=======

Pretty much been with firefox since it came out, no ads, no popups, tabbed browsing, high compatability, free, no bundleware/spyware/adware, and my system hasn't been loaded chock full of spyware like it was when I ran IE.

Plugins to make it fully functional:
Mousegestures
Adblock with Filterset.G
Tabbrowser Prefs
View This Page In IE

Netscape 8.0 is based on Firefox, and can seemlessly switch between Firefox and IE rendering engines.
