Netscape 7.0 sidebar not displaying

I have just installed Netscape 7.0 (on my Windows XP Pro computer) but no bookmarks appear in the sidebar. They are only visible under the bookmarks heading in the menu bar. The installation in my office computer (running Windows NT 4.0) is fine. What have I done wrong?
