Netscape 6 and WinME

This is proably OT but I have been unable to get a response under the other forums:

I am having a problem sometimes when I try to start Netscape 6. I click on the icon and the hour glass starts to turn but the splah screen does not come up and the program doesn't start. If I do CTRL ALT DEL it shows Netscp6. I have also had this problem with Word97. Each time if I reboot it starts up just fine. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

I have:

PIII800 w/ 256mb SDRAM
46 gig IBM UDMA 100 HD
WinME
ATI All in Wonder Radeon
