netscape 4.79 on unix sucks for viewing forums.

i tried going to phpbb forums, and it was refusing to display some. i tried posting at anandtech, and it wouldnt work too well.

it was easier to post at anandtech through lynx.

and from my school, i was getting speeds comparable to dialup. gah. it sucked.

Pre-Mozilla Netscape sucked ass for everything, and the *NIX builds were the worst of all. Whoever's in charge of that system needs to get with the times.

heh, the school bought hundreds of network managed PC's for the labs, with 17inch LCD monitors each, but the computer science labs get old unix machines with 300 mhz processors, and run netscape 4.79 for a browser.
