I currently am using Netscape Communicator 4.75. I noticed that there is a Netscape 6 out there. Which version is the most current. 4.75 or 6 Is one better than the other?
.

6 is the newest from Netscape... but not yet stable or complete, so stick with 4.75 for now...

i second that, 6 is final beta, but its still beta, so i would just hang tight, however i dled both of them, and messing around with 6 but i used 4.75 when i have to. but i prefer ie 5.0 or 5.5

You guys use Nutscrape? Man how can you stand that bloated monster? It loads webpages as slow as hell and often with errors as well. Microsoft Internet Explorer is far better in every way.

Bloated, Netscape? It's because IE's preloaded into Windows on startup. Who wouldn't make their stuff better if one's writing the OS too?

I love rooting for the underdog (though once in the past Netscape was king), but their software is not nearly as stable as MS's...

Netscape 6 in my opinion is bloatware. I occasionally find myself using Netscape 4.08 standalone. It's pretty stable and a good simple browser w/all that junk that comes w/netscape 6.

I only used Netscape when IE4 was extremely unstable on my OS... Even though Netscape was slower, at least it doesn't crash every time it runs some java script with errors... But as soon as I switch over to win2k and IE5, I never look back...
