RJ has pretty good upside for the knicks, they will do good to get a 5 PLUS Deke's contract is done in 2 yrs where Houston is done in 5 yrs, Shandon Anderson is just salary that Knicks want to shed.

Would obviously be good for the nets. would make them w/o question the favorite in the east.

Yeah, plus no way they'd take on Houston's huge contract. Especially after signing Kidd.

hmmm, they have to pay Deke $16 mill next year. pay 16Mill to someone that will see almost NO PT, or pay a similar amount for someone who is probably the best shooter in the nba and will DEFINITELY start.

are you sure?

I am a diehard Knick fan and A. Houston is my favorite player on the Knicks, however I would love to make that trade. Jefferson is a good young player who has a chance to improve and Mutumbo can retire for all I care.

Of course Houston's contract is 3 more years of over 10+ mil.

Houstons contract is 5 more years, but he will be a productive player during those 5 yrs, whereas mutombo would just sit on his @ss and not do much for the team at all except mb force the team to trade away a Aaron Williams or Collins, both of whom i'd rather keep than Deke.

Err sorry for my ambigious statement but I meant to say 3 years longer than Mutumbo's contract :). After next season both Mutumbo and Kittles come off the books. That will help alleviate signing Martin and Jefferson.

Also wishful thinking but if Orlando doesnt improve McGrady can be a free-agent 3 years from now? I think he signed a 6 six year deal and he's going into his 4th with the Magic?
