netpbm vs imagemagick: which is better?

i'm installing gallery 1.3.3 and one of the requirements is to have either netpbm or imagemagick. is one better than the other? i've searched through the Gallery forums and have yet to find an answer to this question.

Dunno, imagemagick is probably more popular. I use it and it works nicely.

Never heard of netpbm actually. But ImageMagick is very nice.

I am playing with gallery too... I installed both, but have no clue which one is better. I think I've got it set to use NetPBM right now.
