Has anyone "bridged" one? The service contract ended for a client ended in june-00 and I figure I would put another outer in, Global Crossing is the ISP and they don't do any support of the router. I have a couple services I want to run behind it and portforwarding is a pain to configure, firmware 4.8.2. Any suggetions?

port forwarding isn't that hard on those models:

Quick Menus -> Network Address Translation -> Show/Change Server List -> Easy Servers -> Add server

What do you mean by "bridged" ??? you mean convert to ether-to-ether ? For that you'd need a module that Netopia sells for 100-200 Shuxclams

Well its more about the way the ISP and netopia have worked things out is what is a pain. What I meant by bridged is turn it into a modem, disabling NAT and letting the (live) IP land on another router so I won't have to pay to ask netopia questions. BTW thanks for replying.

well I don't know how to do exactly what you have in-mind. Why is it such a pain to use the router as is. I have a 7200 and a 910 netopia and a netgear rt314, and the netopia's are far more capable machines then the little netgear. Granted the flexability comes at a price, the damn things have more menu's then a foodcourt. And the manual was translated by someone who had no human contact for three years. But thier webpage is helpful, and with a little exploration you can figure out what they need to get the job done.
