Netopia R-7100-C Router

I have a Netopia R-7100-C Router, that I am trying to use with a cable modem. It is possible to get this working with their Ethernet Module to insert, but right now this has their SDSL Module in WAN1. WAN2 has an rj45 jack, but the software isn't picking anything up and this jack is not documented on the web or the documentation. I am now trying to open this router up (which i am assuming i would have to anyway to insert a new module) but I can't figure it out! There is one latch in the front bottom that I can't figure out how to open up! Anyone have any experience with this?

We have Netopia routers and the one you have is for SDSL. You may be able to change out the port and get it to work. Netopia makes another model for cable and ADSL. Try going into the router config. THere are some settings for what type connection. You may be able to use the default WAN port and no the SDSL module.

What interesting is that the SDSL module installed is there and if I had SDSL it would work fine. In the WAN2 port, there is an RJ45 jack and yet shows as nothing in the software, so I am assuming the module (daughter card) is not installed for WAN2. Thats where the TER/91 would go, which would do cable/adsl.
