Netopia login problem

I have a Netopia 3000 wireless router and a Win XP machine. Nothing exotic about the setup. Just a single desktop machine. I've had the router for a couple years. The past year or so I have had intermittent issues with certain web pages. I will get a blank page and a login window that refers to "Netopia 3000" and either an IP address or the web page I'm trying to access with a place for a username and password.

I found both of those pieces of info and it takes me to the dashboard of the router, but I have no idea what I'm looking at or what it's issue is. It has some semi-crypic blurb about a security issue, but nothing about what to fix, how to fix it, what the problem is....nothing.

Anyone have this happen or know if this is a typical issue that is common and has some easy fix I'm not aware of?

I have looked around on the web for this, but did not find anything worthwhile.

Thanks

It will have one of two:

<> A username and password are being requested by http://<IP address>. The site says: "Netopia-3000"

<> A username and password are being requested by <website>. The site says: "Netopia-3000"

The "<IP address>" & "<website>" are what changes and they are specific to the page I was using.

Ok....doesn't look like there are solutions so I am abandoning the question.
