netmeeting using vpn ?

Hi,
I want to engage in a netmeeting/Gnomemeeting with a remote client
both pcs are behind a home router (a.k.a NAT) which has only one open port
I choose that port to be for pptp
as these programs allocate ports dinamicly, I figured the only way to make it work is by connecting them in a vpn

any other ideas?

The last time I used Netmeeting was in 1999. Then, Microsoft dropped their public servers, and people started using firewalls.

If you only need a few meetings, just get a free 15 day trial of GoToMeeting. It works great.

I suppose a site-to-site VPN would work with Netmeeting, but a client-to-site VPN probably wouldn't do it.

Supposedly, MSN Messenger offers most of Netmeeting's features, also.
