Hi, I did a search on netmeeting problem. It seems that people are having problem with netmeeting under Win 2000 but no one has solved it yet. So I make a new thread in hoping that someone could help my netmeeting problem.

As the title said, I couldn't get the audio and video while on netmeeting. Both parties are using Netmeeting 3 version 4.4.3385. What I can do so far is to get the connection connected with other user using ICQ. I can chat with the other party but no audio and video at all. I can see myself on my netmeeting so does the other party.

We are both using Win 2k under 56k dial up connection with no router or firewall at all.

When I was using Win 98, I didn't have any problem at all with this. We were both using Win 98 and netmeeting 2 (not sure 2.0 or 2.11).

So can someone help me out with this?

I tried with ICUII also and the other party still couldn't see me. If I am not mistaken, I was able to see the other party(not sure what kind of OS he was using cause I was just trying with the user on ICUII). So, do you guys have any suggestion as how to get this to work? I don't mind downgrading to netmeeting 2 as long as this audio and video work.

one more thing... both parties are using DirectX 8.01a with the video update patch installed.

Thanks

check your other thread on this.

I use netmeeting v3.01 with win2k. Same verstion as you - .3385. Seems to work fine. I only use it to control other machines using the sharing properties and granting control. I have not tried any kind of audio or video over it, so sorry.

what kind of video card are you using? I think it's the video card problem since some people already said that ATi gives a lot of problem with it.
