I keep NetMedic (Ver. 1.2.2) on my toolbar so I can check connection parameters with a single click -- like it and use it all of the time. I have noticed one puzzling thing though. The compression bar for the modem is always at 1x, no matter how fast a download may be. For example a moment ago my average retrieval rate was holding at 61.3 kbps and my "speed limit", max connect rate to my ISP, was 45.3 kbps. The compression indicator should have been at 1.35x but was on 1x as it always is. Do any of you that use NetMedic ever see a compression ratio higher than 1x? If so, how did you get NetMedic to recognize the comression ratio?
Thanks for any help.

PS Iam running a 56K V90 modem with compression enabled.
