Netgear WPNT834 or D-Link 4300 Gaming Router?

From what I see, the WPNT834 has best performance. But as a gamer, I'm concerned that the DGL 4300 may better suit me.

Is GameFuel more of a gimmick?

I share a network with my family, and they are not heavy internet users. They just subscribe to that Big Brother show's streaming online content when the show is on air annually. And my dad has this little wireless weather transmitter that updates to a website on all the time.

So I'm leaving it to the brains... What do you all think?

Depends on what games you use, if you play online FPS heavily then go for the dlink, it will prevent lag spikes when someone browsing the network spikes the bandwidth when loading a web-page. I used to share my internet connection without routers like the 4300, fact is if you want to prevent extreme lag spikes for FPS gaming then 4300 is the way to go.

It all depends on what games you play and when/how you play them, if you dont play online hardly at all when others are surfing the net. Then you can go for whatever router you want.

Heavily latency dependent games like FPS multiplayer games are usually the only kinds of games you'd want a 4300 for, or when you have a heavily shared internet connection.

Also, if youre using a PPPOE connection which uses fragmented bits, dont use the DGL's period. I have one sitting here that i cannot use with my FIOS because of the PPPOE connection.
