I bought this same router (maybe different revision) as a refurb for $24 at Microcenter 2 years ago, and it has been working well. What sets this router apart from other cheap routers is that it has Live Parental Controls, which are configurable per user, and work with all internet devices.

I initially was having some with my internet setup at home, since I was trying to use this router in conjunction with a router/modem provided by comcast. Apparently having a double NAT can screw things up. Once I configured the Comcast modem to be just a modem (not a router) and let this NetGear take over, I haven't had a single problem in months. The signal strength is strong enough to cover a 4400 sq. foot house, and it also has worked fine with my Ooma device.
The parental controls are handy, as they provide a web filter on all internet connected devices - Computers, iPods, Wii, Gameboys etc... I'm don't mind my kids seeing a boob, but there really is some sick stuff out there - this device gives piece of mind. If this s something you are looking for, it's a very good device.
