I have cable internet access and have a wirless network set-up in my home using a Belkin (f5d7230-4) wireless G router installed. Everything works great - even have my Tivo's connected. ;-)

However, due to my personal home set-up I now have a need for a few wired connections and would like to install a wireless access point in the basement to boost the signal strength. Let me lay out my home set-up for clarity: 3 level home (main floor, upstairs and basement). The cable feed and cable modem is in my basement (way it was set-up when I bought the home). Part of the home is ethernet wired. In the upstairs (3rd floor) I have one bedroom which is an office where I have an ethernet port that I connect (from the basement cable modem) to my Belkin wireless G router (4 port) and then to my desktop computer. Wirless signal is very good throughout but needs a bit of a boost in the basement.

Hardware I have available and want to use: Belkin wireless G router, Belkin Wireless G Access Point, Netgear gateway router RT314.

Question: Is there a way to have a wire Netgear RT314 router connect to a Belkin wireless G router and both work? I haven't been able to accomplish this yet.

My goal is to have the cable modem (in my basement) connect to the wired Netgear RT314. Plug in my Belkin Wireless access point into the Netgear to boost the signal strength in the basement. Plug in the ethernet cable that runs upstairs to my office on the third floor and have the Belkin wireless G router connect to my desktop and another I am building and broadcast the signal top down.

Long read sorry. My main request is - how can I get the Netgear to talk with my belkin wireless system?

Thanks in advance!!
