I don't know much about this model, but I ended up wasting money on the 802.11b last year that Netgear was selling. It was a terrible piece of equipment....the signal constantly caused my system to disconnect over the wireless-

I would probably recommend investing another $20-30 into a Linksys. Some of them are configurable with improved firmwares like the WRT54G, etc... I will never buy another Netgear router unless it's business class. As far as adapters go... I believe the wireless adapters and NICs work great. Just be sure to read as many reviews as possible before making a purchase on a Netgear.

Why don't you ask that question again once you even get *close* to that number.....

I for one always provide links to my posts, but then again I don't spend *nearly* as much time finding and researching them. I don't begrudge an individual for trying to attract others to their site simply by *not* supplying a direct link for those who are *too lazy* to find them for themselves. All the information is there. Users can choose to go to the site merely for convenience.

I for one have very seldom ever visited the site in question, but *do* appreciate that the deals that are listed, even if I don't take advantage of them.

There is value to be driven to a site. In my case I come to Anandtech.

BTW, ask yourself this questions....

In your newsletter (whether it is active or not), how often did you link Anandtech versus just posting the deal?

I think you're in the minority for thinking the way you do.

But, what do I know? I've only been a member for 4 years now.

....and regarding the FREE deal scanner...

It's an automated scanner. It scans links every 3 hours and reposts the exact link to the forums. I make no profit from it and don't steal links. If you show me the code to be able to decipher what the deal is inside the threads, I'd gladly write something to link to the deal directly instead of posting a link to AT's thread...but then I'd be stealing their content and that's not what the scanner is for.
