I'm having problems with this router. I have had 3 different machines hooked up to it and every once in a while, it will just loose the connection to the machine. These machines are all hooked up with cat 5 and I haven't even begun messing with the wireless on this. If I repair the connection on the xp machines it will work great for a while until I have to do it again.

I'm stumped and I plan on contacting netgear if you guys don't have any ideas. I upgraded the firmware with no luck and I've tried using a new nic card. My linksys router before this had no problems at all and was rock solid.

I bought this router back in January. I started noticing problems with it around May... It's taken me this long to formally address it and I realized that the router has totally lost connection from the rest of my home network. It appears that the Internet Port of my router is constantly losing and regaining connection...I checked the cable and it's definitely the jack itself.

I've heard many other people having issues with this router. They will send you a new one, but I'm personally thinking it might be worth the $60 just to buy a linksys and tell all my friends NEVER to buy a NetGear router. They screwed up on this one...

I never had any problems with their NICs...
