NETGEAR - Web Safe Router Gateway RP614 problem..

i've had this router for about 5 months now and everything has been great, until now

i recently packed the router up back in its original box for 3 weeks while i went on vacation

when i got back me and my friend went to use it so we could play some online games and we noticed something weird

we can join servers and play and be fine, but we cannot refresh any servers or even browse the net - so we're online but nothing seems to be working

we're using a NETGEAR - Web Safe Router Gateway RP614

we've reset the router..

updated the firmware..

changed cables.. and slots..

nothing seems to make a difference

if anyone has any kind of idea or any advice i'd greatly appreciate it
