The speed shown by the Netgear adapter is the fastest LAN speed it can support, and you'll typically only see anything remotely close to that when transferring files between devices in your home network.

The speedtest.net result is what you're paying your ISP for. That's your actual Internet download speed, or whatever you want to call it.

My ISP provides 20 mbsp and that is what I get with speedtest.net with computer connected with wire and I should get 20 mbsp with speedtest.net on the computer where Netgear adapter is connected.

so you get 20Mbit/s down on a wired PC, but only 10 on a wireless PC, even though your connectoid program show 108Mbit/s?

That's probably semi-normal. Your actual throughput is half or less than your connection speed. Potentially much lower, if the channel is crowded or there is wireless interference, and lots of retransmits are needed.

My ISP connection is 58/33 wired. My laptop connection speed is N, 72Mbit/s. Speedtest.net on the laptop is around 28-30 Mbit/s, both up and down.
